Holiday Season in Waikiki - Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber

Hula and the holidays are a perfect combination. Why not make your Christmas tree a palm tree and spend the holiday season in Waikiki? Take a look at Hawaii's great holiday spirit.

Honolulu City Lights

Holiday lights brighten the season. Opening night December 3 starts with the tree lighting, an electric light parade, and a concert.

Shop and Visit with Santa

Santa comes to the Royal Hawaiian Center, one of the island's best shopping centers. Besides visiting with Santa and a great site for holiday shopping, the center will be full of special entertainment throughout the holiday season. The programs draw on Hawaiian culture, and you can even take a class in ukelele or traditional weaving.

Christmas Eve Football

Come see the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve at Aloha Stadium. A team from Conference USA will face off against a team from Mountain West. Starting at 3pm Hawaiian time, you can watch the game and still wait up for Santa.

Holiday Lights and Holiday Run

See the lights of Honolulu on the Jingle Rock Run. Grownups and kids of all ages can run or walk the route. There'll be prizes for costumes, and teams that raise the most money for Make-a-Wish. It's a great way to show your holiday spirit.

New Year's Eve

End your holiday season in Hawaii with a great New Year's Eve celebration. The party at the Aloha Tower includes fireworks, food, and eight stages of entertainment. A cruise is another great way to watch the fireworks.

Staying at the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber puts you close to all the holiday events. And if holiday shopping wears you out, we're just steps away from Waikiki beach where you can lie on the sand and be soothed by the sun. Come enjoy the holidays with us Hawaiian style.
